The 2nd annual PGSF was one word: LIT! It was my pleasure to not only attend but to be the team captain for Team Yellow! This event brought out powerhouse in fitness and health not only in Atlanta but from all around the country! Read on to learn more about this star studded event and how you can be a part of the movement!


Pretty Girls Sweat: The Journey

PGS was born in 2011 out of Michell Obama's "Let's Move" campaign and created by multifaceted momtrepreneur and social enterpriser Aeshia DeVore Branch! Since its inception, the organization has evolved from pop-ups and club meeting to a full on Sweat Sisterhood fitness festival, online community powerhouse and has even crept its way onto various college campus' as a club.

Sweat Sisterhood 2018:

The 2nd annual Pretty Girl Sweat Fest Atlanta was held in the heart of downtown at the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot. The weather was sunny and complimented the many activities outside of the space.

Attendees were able to participate in Hip Hop cycling with provided by Vibe Ride Atlanta or pickup a game of basketball to name a few activities. Food trucks and treats such as King of Pops were readily available in the outside pavilion along with many girl centric and health centered vendors.


Inside, attendees were able to hear inspirational tidbits from the Sweatlebrity crew whom all shared parts of their fitness journey at the stage as they accepted their awards.

Attendees were all divided into 7 color coded groups and I was honored to be Team Yellow's Captain. Captain duties include hyping team and keeping them all on track with the workout and event.



For nearly 2 hours attendees experienced seperate sessions of Hip Hop Yoga, Strength Training, and a Get Lit! Dance Party! While this entire workout session of hundreds of women is major fun, you should definitely come prepared to SWEAT!! When attendees weren't sweating it out, they could refresh at the plentiful hydration stations, savor at the food garden filled with deliciously healthy food trucks or receive consult at various beauty bars! The complimentary swag was also plentiful and giveaways seemed to be popping the entire event!


After a brief food intermission and wind down, the event officially ended with a Creative Active Meditation and a medical professional Q&A panel where attendees were able to ask questions related to health and fitness!

VIP member were able to access the lounge for the duration of the event where they received sponsored loaded swag bags, massage services, catered food and champagne at events close.


PGSF is a fest that any fitness enthusiast should not miss! Not to mention the great cause! Each ticket purchased helped sponsor the 501(3)c arm that helps empower girls through sports and fitness!
